No need to apologize at all, Fenris. With all my traveling as of late, I missed your post. So I'll take the blame. I just wanted to make sure that you were aware that I hadn't dropped the game and had picked it back up again. Again, no need to apologize or worry about not posting. I wasn't judging!
But, please do feel free to chip in if you would like. I've set you all up on a fun bit of adventure to come.
Errrr. I meant to use this smiley, of course ----->

NLF, what exactly were we enquiring about at the Kome Inn that directed us to the Ogre's Pit? As the text gives me no idea at all why we're looking for Daak specifically (i.e. which part of our mission are we going to him for ... finding Jalla, organising supplies for the colony, or starting our investigation?).

Oh, sorry. I didn't reallymake that clear. The answer is general information about the area. IE, if there is someone around who might have their "finger on the pulse" of an area, Daak is the one. So, not really anything specific, per se, but more along the lines of if there is someone who can likely answer any wuestion more thoroughly and meaningfully, it is Daak.

Yes, it does, thanks.
Now for the bad news. I'm finding playing to me more chore than joy currently, so rather than bring the game down with lack of interest or inattention from me, I've decided to remove myself from the game instead. I hope this doesn't cause you too much trouble, but I feel it's better for me to leave now, rather than delay things until we're at a point where a character leaving is a bigger problem.
Well, I guess we'll have to game around that. Might I suggest an assassination in town, followed by us taking the combat to the assassins and avenging Shahab?

For the record, I am away until Friday. My availability is greatly limited to the availability in the hotels in which I am staying. Tonight, for example, I have good availability. But tomorrow ... and the days after ... may be different.
OK, this game seems to be on indefinite hold, but I wanted to react about Shahab leaving (RP-wise): it raises an interesting point: the colonisation party was build in 2 "waves" (and we are/were about to add another one).
The second "wave" (Kizzt & Sanji & villager NPCs) is, for all but my character, rewarded by the possession of the land they inhabit.
Sanji is rewarded by the military as it is a mission.
The first "wave" however was hired by the FEOP to trailblaze and held the settling. They are mercenaries so to speak (or freelancer if you like the term better).
Shahab leaving could be that he consider the mission he was hired for is done (the camp is well under way), and he want to cash out.
The other can disagree, or just think that real estate can be good for them, or just have fun so far and want to continue (thus justifying they staying), but it could lead to interesting RP.

That is actually true - one could also easily see it as the others wanting to "cash IN" on getting some prime estate in the colony, while Shahab who doesn't want to be tied down prefers to "cash OUT", take his money and try his hand with new missions that challenge him. Nothing to prevent the GM from using Shahab as an NPC in the future.

That's a good idea, Asurya. Very workable.
Realistically, though, themainproblem is that only you and A_a have responded to my initial "post to get thingsmoving again." If that's all the response that such a post can garner, it does not say much for the success ofthe game. So I have not been active in moving the game ahead.

I think the problem might be that i don't see such a post from you NLF. Before your post above mine, the last post you made was on July 21st talking about your internet issues affecting your possible availability. Prior to that, all of the OOC posts seem to be made at the same time and in response to the IG posts.
I'm not trying to pick a fight, just pointing out that if i don't see such a post here, maybe others don't as well.

Try looking in the main game thread, LMS. I'm not talking about anything in ths thread. This thread is not how I judge game interest. Game interest happens in the IC thread. If you look at that thread, you will see a clearly marked "Moving On" post with only two responses.
