Post subject: Psionic racial subsitiution levels

i really love the idea of racial sub levels, as i feel a character's race is almost as important as your class or feats. While some exist for the psionic races from DSP, they only cover some of the classes and none of the non-psionic races.
What i propose is the following:
the creation of racial substitution levels for the psionic races, for the psionic classes, and if so desired the non-psionic ones, as well as the creation of sub levels for the non-psionic races using the psionic classes.
If we keep this a free, internet forum project, i am pretty sure we would be able to use not only open content, but closed as well. Which would rock, as i would really love to see some stuff for the Kalasthar from Eberron(they have an ok SK variant, but its a little too paladin for me).

I love them too, but they are not a feature of Pathfinder (at least so far). I kind of introduced the concept with the 'bonus feat' instead of Wild Talent in the Soulknife Gamma, but it isn't popular.
In 3.5 the racial substitution levels gave some extra nice things because humans always seemed to have a distinct advantage. Pathfinder is a little better balanced ...
just because at the moment they aren't in PF doesn't mean A) they won't be(could be already in some of their adventure paths or other products) and 2) they would some how not fit, which is almost what you seem to be saying.
I never saw the RSL as a way to better balance a race vs a human. I saw it instead as a way to showcase what makes a particular race different in a class vs others.
Look at the Elven Wizard sub level: that whole knowing more spells makes pefect sense since chances are he studied with plenty of fellow wizards as they're a fair amount of elves who follow that path, plus it highlights the innate connection elves are said to have to magic
I love collaboration and am in all favor of this idea - although interests in other directions will probably keep me from chiming in on this particular one too often. (The main one being that I no longer game an a game that uses a class structure) That being said, I would be more than happy to chime in with a perspective on whether a final group construction is balanced. Hence, I'm in favor of the idea.
But ...

Open content you can always use, hence the open part. Closed content you can never use without permission. Hence the closed part. If closed content is posted on this forum, WotC (or another body who has closed content) has every right to demand its removal from the board at the very least - and depending on how grevious the error demand fiscal compensation for the loss. Now, they have not demanded fiscal compensation often, but they have at times been very assertive about demanding removal of content - and rightly so in my book. Closed means closed.
Having said that, I will not participate in a discussion where closed content is posted freely. For example, I'm okay with someone putting up the name of a class ability from something from Eberron. But if they put up any of the game mechanical details - that would exclude me from any participation in the discussion. A great example of this is the articles for using CC with some of WotC books that are closed content. The article lists the ability name only. All game mechanics are not listed or detailed, thus allowing WotC to maintin their "closed" perspective. In the end, it's actually free advertising for them, so I'm sure they're happy to allow that. But so long as closed content is not listed, I'd be happy to chime in where needed.
As for the Kalashtar (I too love them loads and loads) I'm pretty sure that they'll never make a PF appearance. My reasoning: they've already made an appearance in 4th Ed., and WotC never likes playing with others, nor allows others to play with their toys.
I hate WotC btw....

Well it is their intellectual property, quite simply. You can put Kalashtar into your own game (I surely would) - I give them +2 to any mental stat and few other little changes, and they go in a Pathfinder game just dandy.
